GABBY BARRETT PUTS A CHEATER ON NOTICE WITH BRAND NEW SIZZLER “I HOPE”

Emerging Country talent and 2018 American Idol finalist GABBY BARRETT takes an emphatic and empowered step into the spotlight today (1/25), unveiling the edgy anthem “I Hope” as her first release since finishing the Idol tour.

Written by Barrett alongside hit songwriters Zachary Kale and Jon Nite, the blistering tune harnesses her powerhouse vocals for a sizzling kiss off to a two-timing boyfriend. The emotionally charged slow burner features a bold, strutting groove and an attitude-filled storyline, marking the first official taste of Barrett’s artistry since her Top 3 finish on American Idol’s sixteenth season.

“I am so unbelievably excited to share ‘I Hope’ with the world,” Barrett says. “After my Idol chapter closed, I knew this song was the one I wanted to frame myself with. Being a female, I know what it’s like to go through a bad break up and not get to say what you REALLY want to. This song is for anybody that has gone through the same.”

“I Hope” is available now via all digital streaming services, listen to it here.

Up next for Barrett is the release of her official “I Hope” music video, an electrifying clip showcasing the Pennsylvania native’s striking new look as her Country career revs up.

Barrett spent the last year as a featured performer on the American Idol Live! 2018 tour and Chris Lane’s LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR, also wowing crowds at the 2018 National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C., where she delivered a classically-cool rendition of “The First Noel.” Barrett is currently writing and recording new music for an upcoming release produced by the award-winning Ross Copperman, who praises the singer-songwriter as "one of the most talented young artists (he’s) come across in a long time.” Barrett will be on the road for select concert dates in 2019 – including April’s Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
