JILLIAN JACQUELINE MAKES BROKEN BEAUTIFUL WITH "SAD GIRLS"

Known for her “diary-like intimacy and cool, cutting self-awareness” (Rolling Stone) Big Loud Records’ JILLIAN JACQUELINE has released a heartbreak-heavy new track, “Sad Girls,” available today on all digital platforms. The new song is another look at the rising singer/songwriter’s forthcoming EP, SIDE B, set to release September 7.

Penned by Jacqueline alongside producer Tofer Brown and esteemed songwriter Lori McKenna, “Sad Girls” transports listeners to the rainy midnight painted in the detailed lyrics. Jacqueline’s pristine vocals shine over an acoustic guitar, the stripped-down production allowing emotion to take center stage.

"I’ve loved this song for a long time," shares Jacqueline. "Sometimes it’s hard to put into words the way a heartbreak can really feel, but I had the help of Lori McKenna and my producer Tofer Brown to bring this particularly painful moment to life. The imagery might be specific, but the emotions are universal. So, this one's for all the sad girls."

The release of “Sad Girls” comes after Jacqueline unveiled “If I Were You” – her wistful new track featuring Keith Urban. Praise continues to pour in from fans and critics alike, with the song surpassing one million combined streams in two weeks and named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Best Country and Americana Songs of the Week.”

The dazzling newcomer will take the stage at the star-studded WCOL Country Jam and Campout in Thornville, OH (9/1) and join the all-genre lineup at Seattle’s Bumbershoot (9/2). Following high-profile appearances at FGL Fest in Indianapolis, IN (9/8) and Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin, TN (9/22), Jacqueline will hit the road with Kip Moore as a special guest on the Country hitmaker’s AFTER THE SUNBURN TOUR, beginning 9/28.
