KELSEA BALLERINI TRAVELS AROUND THE WORLD WITH UNAPOLOGETICALLY

NASHVILLE, TENN. (March 13, 2018) — Black River Entertainment’s KELSEA BALLERINI is continuing her globe-trotting adventure in Australia, after making her C2C: Country to Country 2018 debut in London, United Kingdom (3/9), Glasgow, Scotland (3/10), and Dublin, Ireland (3/11).

Bringing her critically acclaimed sophomore album, UNAPOLOGETICALLY, to Country music fans around the world, international media welcomed her return following previous opening spots. “She definitely has crossover potential here in the UK,” hailed Entertainment Focus, “and tonight she proved she’s one of the best female Country artists in the genre right now.”

After a spirited stop at BBC Radio 2's The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, where she played her own rendition of OneRepublic and Timbaland’s hit “Apologize” in front of featured guests James Corden and Kylie Minogue, UNAPOLOGETICALLY jumped to #1 on UK’s iTunes Top Country Albums chart, while her new single, “I Hate Love Songs,” also struck #1 on UK’s iTunes Top Country Songs chart.

Sparking the “love” chapter of her chronological sonic diary of “loss, life, and love” in UNAPOLOGETICALLY, Ballerini’s arrival in Australia comes full circle after meeting her husband, Morgan Evans (Warner Music Nashville), while co-hosting the 2016 CMC Music Awards together. She is slated to make her return to the 2018 CMC Music Awards on Thursday (3/15) to perform “I Hate Love Songs” live at The Star Gold Coast. Ballerini is also nominated for CMC International Video of the Year (“Legends”) and CMC International Artist of the Year presented by iHeartRadio.

She’ll then take the stage at CMC Rocks on Saturday (3/17) and Sunday (3/18) in Ipswich, Australia, before picking up THE UNAPOLOGETICALLY TOUR at the Metro Theatre in Sydney, Australia, with a sold-out show on March 20.

“Australia has become my second home and I’m so excited to be here,” Ballerini shares. "To return to the award show where I met Morgan and where the final chapter of UNAPOLOGETICALLY began is just so special to me. I can’t believe I get to come back as his wife and bring THE UNAPOLOGETICALLY TOUR with me!”

THE UNAPOLOGETICALLY TOUR will head back to the States on April 3, for a rescheduled show at EXPRESS LIVE! in Columbus, OH. The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA, (4/25), is the only venue with limited tickets remaining, as 14 cities have sold out.

On April 15, the global Country superstar is vying for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards live from Las Vegas on CBS. She’s also nominated for Video of the Year for her record-breaking #1 “Legends,” which has stolen the hearts of more than 13.4 million viewers to date.

Penned by Ballerini alongside Hillary Lindsey and Forest Glen Whitehead, GOLD-certified “Legends” recently made history topping both Country Aircheck and the Billboard Country Airplay charts. She’s now notched the most #1s for a female artist since debuting on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2015. Her trailblazing feats continue, as Ballerini remains the first female artist in the genre, including female duos and groups, to achieve #1 with her first three consecutive singles – PLATINUM-certified “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” “Peter Pan” – from a debut album (THE FIRST TIME).

Country radio is now playing “I Hate Love Songs,” as the “smartly written” ode which has lyrics that “turn romantic clichés on their heads” (MusicRow Magazine) is the second-most added song this week.
