This Saturday (10/31), RECORDS Nashville/Columbia singer-songwriter-guitarist Ty Myers will make his debut appearance on PBS’ Austin City Limits, bringing his force-of-nature live show to one of the most revered stages in music television. The Texas-bred star’s highly anticipated episode will air on PBS at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT — check your listings or visit ACLTV.com to find out where to watch in your area.
An especially meaningful milestone for the 19-year-old sensation — who grew up on a cattle ranch just outside Austin — Myers’ ACL debut will air during the iconic program’s 52nd season. Recognized by TIME as one of the ten most influential music programs of all time, ACL will feature Myers as part of a stacked season lineup including Southern Rock torchbearers The Red Clay Strays, GRAMMY-winning global superstar Olivia Rodrigo, fast-ascending Soul-Pop artist Sienna Spiro, and more.
During his 11-song ACL set, Myers will deliver a thrilling cross-section of tunes from his acclaimed catalog, including his PLATINUM-certified, Billboard Hot 100-charting hits "Ends of the Earth" and "Thought It Was Love" (both from his powerhouse debut LP The Select). An in-demand live performer known for his soulful vocals and searing guitar work, Myers will also bring his electrifying emotionality to standouts like "Two Trains," "Message to You," and "Leaving Carolina" (all from his widely lauded sophomore album Heavy On The Soul) as well as massive fan favorites like “Drinkin’ Alone,” “Stay” and more.
In a poignant full-circle moment, Myers will close out his ACL set with “Whiskey River” — a longtime concert staple for Country legend Willie Nelson, who starred in the pilot episode of Austin City Limits back in 1974. Myers’ high-spirited rendition of “Whiskey River” appears on his recently released Two Braids & The Truth - My Tribute To Willie, a 10-song homage featuring a guest spot from Nelson himself. Soon after the album’s arrival last month, Myers joined Willie Nelson & Family and Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts as a special guest for two co-headlining shows and earned praise from the tastemakers at renowned music magazine MOJO, who hailed his “impressive set of soul-inflected country.”
