Today, MULTI-PLATINUM Country star Gabby Barrett dives deeper into her new era with the release of her radiant new song “Every Minute Of It.” Out now via Warner Records Nashville, the breezy but illuminating track celebrates the beauty in life’s unexpected detours. Go here to listen to “Every Minute Of It” now.
Written by Emily Weisband, James McNair, Seth Mosley, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood, “Every Minute Of It” puts Barrett’s beautifully moving vocals front and center as she muses on surrendering to life’s endless unpredictability. “This song is really about letting go of the way you thought life was supposed to look and learning to embrace what’s right in front of you,” she explains. “So much of life doesn’t go according to plan, and sometimes the things you never saw coming end up being the greatest gifts. It’s about taking the highs with the lows, learning as you go, and finding joy in all of it.”
Produced by her longtime collaborator Ross Copperman (Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley), “Every Minute Of It” channels that joy by way of its warm and timeless Country-Pop sound, glowing with the gorgeous guitar work of A-list musicians like Ilya Toshinskiy (Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett) and Rob McNelley (Luke Bryan, Lady A). In a particularly brilliant touch, a subtle rhythm mimics the ticking of a clock and lends even more impact to Barrett’s reflection on making the most of each moment. While her vocal performance often exudes a tender vulnerability, Barrett delivers the song’s chorus with a soaring conviction that fully drives home its essential wisdom: “This life will leave you breathless / Just when you least expect / You’re high, you’re low, you’re livin’ and you’re learnin’ from it / I’m lettin’ go and lovin’ every minute of it.”
Earlier this summer, Barrett made waves with the release of "In On It" — a life-affirming epic that earned praise from the likes of Country Now, who hailed it as a “powerful ballad” and noted that her “clear and commanding vocals shine through behind each lyric.” In an exclusive interview with Country Now, Barrett revealed that “In On It” hints at what’s ahead for her next body of work, stating her intention to create “songs that make you laugh and make you think and make you feel something and hopefully become part of people’s lives.” Along with “In On It,” her latest output also includes emotionally potent releases like "The Easy Part" and "Ain't Supposed To Be."
Fresh off a run of summer tour dates as support for superstar Parker McCollum, Barrett is getting set to perform tomorrow (9/5) at the first-ever Music City Kickoff Concert, where she’ll share the bill with Lee Brice and Payton Smith at Nashville’s Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater. She’ll then join Chase Rice, John Legend, and Sheryl Crow as a special guest performer on the inaugural special “AMERICA’S TAILGATE ON CBS,” hosted by Nate Burleson and co-host Melanie Collins, airing Labor Day, September 7 on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+.
Known for a captivating live set featuring colossal hits like the 9X PLATINUM “I Hope” and 5X PLATINUM “The Good Ones,” her upcoming tour dates also include headline shows at Blue Gate Performing Arts Center in Shipshewana, IN (9/11) and Odawa Casino in Petoskey, MI (9/18).
