Released in June 1996, Dreamin’ Out Loud established Adkins as a formidable new force in Country music, revealing a one-of-a-kind artist whose heartfelt Country traditionalism came with a wildly adventurous streak. In a rare feat for a debut outing, the LP quickly earned PLATINUM certification from the RIAA and delivered a remarkable run of hits, including “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing” (his first No. 1 single), “Every Light In The House” (a GOLD-certified smash that reached the Top 3 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs), and “I Left Something Turned On At Home” (a No. 2 hit on Hot Country Songs).
