TRACE ADKINS ANNOUNCES 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF LANDMARK DEBUT ALBUM DREAMIN’ OUT LOUD

Today, MULTI-PLATINUM entertainer Trace Adkins announces the release of Dreamin’ Out Loud: 30th Anniversary — a special edition of his landmark debut album. Due out via Capitol Records Nashville/UMe on October 16, the upcoming release marks the first-ever vinyl pressing of the chart-topping LP that introduced one of modern Country’s most towering voices. Preorder Dreamin’ Out Loud: 30th Anniversary here now.

Released in June 1996, Dreamin’ Out Loud established Adkins as a formidable new force in Country music, revealing a one-of-a-kind artist whose heartfelt Country traditionalism came with a wildly adventurous streak. In a rare feat for a debut outing, the LP quickly earned PLATINUM certification from the RIAA and delivered a remarkable run of hits, including “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing” (his first No. 1 single), “Every Light In The House” (a GOLD-certified smash that reached the Top 3 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs), and “I Left Something Turned On At Home” (a No. 2 hit on Hot Country Songs). Along with drawing critical acclaim — with AllMusic hailing Adkins as “one of the finest new traditionalists of the late ’90s” — the album led to major milestones, including his Top New Male Vocalist win at the 1997 Academy of Country Music Awards.

Thirty years later, Dreamin’ Out Loud: 30th Anniversary spotlights the extraordinary staying power of its songs, thanks in no small part to the undeniable appeal of Adkins’ commanding baritone and larger-than-life presence. Also reissued on CD, the anniversary edition caps off the original 10-song tracklist by adding a special bonus version of “Every Light In The House,” recorded live in Nashville in 2021. Adding to the excitement surrounding Dreamin’ Out Loud: 30th Anniversary, the Louisiana legend recently made a must-see appearance on the blockbuster podcast This Past Weekend with Theo Von. Over the course of their two-hour conversation, Adkins held forth on such wide-ranging topics as his blue-collar upbringing, his 2019 wedding to actress Victoria Pratt (officiated by none other than Blake Shelton), leaving his mark on multiple generations of Country music — and even what it really feels like to get shot. All throughout the no-holds-barred episode, Adkins brought the humor, authenticity, and storytelling prowess that have made him a fan favorite for the past three decades. Produced by award-winning Country hitmaker Scott Hendricks (Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn), Dreamin’ Out Loud kicked off a powerhouse career that included 40 hit singles on Country radio and over 12 MILLION albums sold to date. Also featuring standouts like his debut single “There’s a Girl in Texas” (a Top 20 hit on Hot Country Songs), Dreamin’ Out Loud climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and reached the Top 10 on Top Country Albums.

Next month, Adkins will continue the Trace Adkins 30th Anniversary Tour — a major U.S. headline run launched in January and soon extended due to fast-selling dates and massive fan demand. For more info on all upcoming tour dates, visit traceadkins.com.

Currently out on the Trace Adkins 30th Anniversary Tour (a U.S. headline run that launched in January), the superstar entertainer recently followed his featured spot on Blake Shelton’s Friends & Heroes Tour with his own What Color’s Your Wild Tour (a hot-ticket headline trek named for his hard-driving anthem released in early 2025).
