Today, PLATINUM-selling duo LOCASH add another highlight to an action-packed summer with the release of their new EP Let The Country Music Play. Out now via LOCASH’s own Galaxy Label Group, the five-song project celebrates the kind of down-home Country living that never goes out of style. Go here to listen to Let The Country Music Play.
A new collection from singer/songwriters Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, Let The Country Music Play finds LOCASH co-writing with MULTI-PLATINUM superstars Cole Swindell and Thomas Rhett as well as hitmaking heavyweights like Ashley Gorley (Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan) and Ben Johnson (Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll). Stacked with crowd-commanding melodies, the EP brings the duo’s lived-in storytelling to songs about homegrown pride, lifelong devotion, and the unshakable power of love and faith — ultimately capturing LOCASH at their most unmistakably Country.
LOCASH’s first body of work since Bet The Farm — a landmark album featuring their chart-topping smash "Hometown Home," Country Aircheck/Mediabase’s No. 4 Overall Song of 2025 — Let The Country Music Play features their soul-soothing anthem “Talkin Bout.” In a prime example of the EP’s infectious optimism, the deeply felt love song finds romance in everything from small-town life and classic Country to baseball and blue-collar pride.
Officially impacting Country radio on August 24, “Talkin Bout” appears alongside previously released songs like "YES": a poignant yet lighthearted reflection on choosing forever in an unpredictable world. Meanwhile, on Let The Country Music Play’s euphoric title track, LOCASH and Parmalee put a brilliantly fun spin on Rupert Holmes’ “Escape (The Piña Colada Song),” transforming the yacht-rock standard into a timeless tribute to Country’s greatest legends.
