Today, Country singer/songwriter FILMORE releases his fourth studio album Atypical — a 21-song triumph built on his boundary-breaking form of Country. In a testament to his culture-shifting clout, Atypical marks his inaugural album release via MULTI-PLATINUM global icon Pitbull’s Mr. 305 Records, which selected FILMORE as its first-ever signing in the Country genre. Go here to listen to Atypical now.
A rising star with major crossover appeal, FILMORE will make his debut appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show next Tuesday (2/24). Known for his explosive live presence, he’ll fire up the audience with a performance of “Yeehaw” — FILMORE’s first official studio collaboration with Pitbull, released in December and met with immediate raves from the likes of MusicRow (who declared “Nashville meets Miami on this slow-groove banger”). Check local listings for airtimes here. Making their live-broadcast performance debut together in Sin City, FILMORE and Pitbull brought “Yeehaw” to Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026 - watch here.
A monumental new turn in his trailblazing career (including making history as the first independent artist to grace the cover of Spotify’s Hot Country playlist), Atypical features FILMORE as a co-writer on all 21 tracks. With the album’s arrival, the Missouri-bred artist is sharing lyric videos for every song on the LP, inviting fans to head to his YouTube channel to experience the project in full.
Fresh off his head-turning coverage in major outlets like People, FILMORE took the helm as co-producer on 16 of Atypical’s tracks, joining forces with heavy-hitters like Zach Abend (HARDY, Nate Smith) and Justin Ebach (Tucker Wetmore, Warren Zeiders). With its bold mosaic of styles and genres (Outlaw Country, Hard-Rock, Hip-Hop, Dancehall-Pop, and more), Atypical also finds FILMORE infusing a number of songs with infectious rhythms and pulse-pounding percussion.
Created with in-demand co-writers like Trannie Anderson (Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen) and Lindsay Rimes (Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins), Atypical matches its genre-bending sound with FILMORE’s multidimensional storytelling, encompassing everything from party-ready anthems to introspective ballads. To that end, the album features “Yeehaw” alongside soul-searching standouts like “Love at First Fight” (a hypnotic portrait of a doomed relationship where fighting is a love language) and “365” (a heartfelt manifesto for living fully in the now). At every turn, Atypical spotlights FILMORE’s gritty yet captivating voice and undeniable knack for crafting hooks that hit hard.
Also featuring previously released songs like “If I Was You,” “South On Me,” “Betcha Gonna,” “Hola,” and “Love Lovin You,” Atypical arrives as FILMORE’s first full-length project since dropping his 2023 LP Mean Something and taking time off to refocus on his craft and start a family.
In choosing a title for his most powerfully realized work to date, FILMORE referenced a fan-beloved track from his debut project Proof. “There’s a line in the chorus to that song that says ‘Anything but typical,’ and over time I started meeting all these fans who’d tattooed those words on their wrists,” FILMORE explains. “It became my own personal motto, and it gave me the freedom to be 100 percent myself instead of chasing validation from other people. This album feels like a culmination of everything I’ve learned to this point, and it’s me at my most unfiltered.”
