A new era of music creation and collaboration begins today with the launch of SoundBreak, the first generative AI music platform built in collaboration with recording artists and songwriters, and designed to put artists at the center of the AI revolution. Go here to visit the SoundBreak website.
SoundBreak empowers fans and creators to co-write songs using officially licensed AI songwriting models of their favorite artists - while ensuring those artists are recognized, protected, and directly compensated for their creative influence. The platform is live now, making history as the world’s first ethically trained, fully licensed generative AI music platform where users can collaborate with official artist AI models and release songs directly to Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube - all in one place.
Unlike existing AI music tools, SoundBreak was developed with direct input from a cohort of GRAMMY® Award-winning and multi-platinum career artists, who are fully integrated into the company’s business model as true partners. SoundBreak sets a new precedent by ensuring all participating artists - now and in the future - are fairly compensated and creatively respected. SoundBreak is built on an ethically trained, licensed foundational AI model developed in partnership with Soundverse, further reinforcing the platform’s commitment to transparency, artist rights, and responsible AI innovation.
“SoundBreak is the AI in ARTIST,” said co-founder Kevin Griffin. “In an exploding industry where songwriters and artists are being left out of the AI conversation, we’re setting a new standard - one where technology amplifies creativity and artists get paid for their unique intellectual property. This is AI made by artists, for artists.”
At launch, SoundBreak features official AI songwriting models created in collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winner Jaren Johnston (The Cadillac Three), multi-platinum artist Michael Fitzpatrick (Fitz and the Tantrums), Better Than Ezra frontman and GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter Kevin Griffin, iconic singer-songwriter and guitarist David Ryan Harris, multi-platinum songwriter and producer Sam Hollander, and alternative artist Max Frost, among others. Each artist worked directly with SoundBreak’s engineering team to develop a custom AI model that reflects their songwriting style - not a sound-alike AI voice.
SoundBreak introduces a new form of connection between artists and fans. Users co-write songs alongside AI artist models, and upon completion, both the user and the artist share master ownership and revenue generated from distribution. Artists also earn additional compensation through subscription revenue based on fan engagement with their AI model. All royalties are transparently split among artists, users, and SoundBreak.
Built on a foundation of transparency and fairness, SoundBreak returns control to rights holders while offering creators a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to write with top-tier talent - anytime, anywhere.
There is no more ethical or direct way to support, collaborate with, and create alongside the artists you love.
Stay tuned for more announcements from SoundBreak.
