NATE SMITH’S “AFTER MIDNIGHT” COLLABORATION WITH TYLER HUBBARD IS MOST ADDED THIS WEEK

Scoring the second biggest impact date of his hitmaking career, MULTI-PLATINUM chart-topper Nate Smith is back as most added at Country radio with 60 first-week stations launching “After Midnight” (Sony Music Nashville) – his brand-new collaboration with DIAMOND-certified superstar and 23x hitmaker Tyler Hubbard (MCA). Sitting at Top 2 this week, listen to “After Midnight” and watch the Jeff Johnson and Kaiser Cunningham-directed music video.

Rallying “rowdy, good-ol’-boy, good-time vocals,” as hailed by MusicRow, “After Midnight” packs a campfire-style sing-along into the framework of an arena-size anthem. Right out of the gate, Smith lets everybody know the party’s about to start. With lyrics penned by HubbardCasey Brown (also the producer), and Corey Crowder, Smith sets the scene in the song’s verses and paints a picture with lines like, “Tailgates go down / Solos get flipped / Girls get to dancing / When headlights get lit.” A robust riff electrifies the chantable chorus, and you can practically hear him grinning, “Something good always happens after midnight / Gettin’ loud a little later just hits nice.” As it rolls on, Hubbard matches this energy with an equally vivid cameo until locking in with Smith for the seismic hook. Fittingly, a slick guitar lead accents the outro.

Soon to be surrounded by the city’s neon lights, Smith and Hubbard just invited fans via social media (see here) to meet them downtown tonight (11/20) at Mel’s Drive-In Nashville to further tap into the “After Midnight” spirit. For those hankering for an early midnight snack, the pair will be taking over the diner from 8-10 p.m. CT. Guests can catch Smith and Hubbard from the kitchen to table service, as they serve up a specialty “After Midnight” menu for one-night-only including a half-priced pancake special (running 8 p.m. ‘til close). Available on a first-come, first-served basis, guests can scan a QR code upon arrival for the discount.

Closing out the year onstage with a string of headline dates, Smith is set to return to the road with Jason Aldean as direct support for the next leg of his FULL THROTTLE TOUR in 2026. Find more information on all upcoming shows here
