MEGAN MORONEY TO MAKE LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS DEBUT ON 10/7

On October 7, Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records singer/songwriter Megan Moroney will appear on Late Night with Seth Meyers for the first time — tune in at 12:35 am ET / 11:35 pm CT on NBC. As she continues to storm the country on her blockbuster AM I OKAY? TOUR, the MULTI-PLATINUM sensation will join Meyers for an exclusive interview about her rapid-fire rise to massive Country stardom.

The latest late-night stop for Moroney (who’s also graced the stage on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!), the Emo Cowgirl’s Late Night with Seth Meyers appearance will follow recent gold-star moments like topping the list of nominations for “The 59th Annual CMA Awards.” As revealed earlier this month, the CMAs’ reigning New Artist of the Year scored SIX nominations total: Single of the Year and Song of the Year (for her PLATINUM-certified No. 1 smash “Am I Okay?”), Album of the Year (for her lavishly acclaimed sophomore LP Am I Okay?), Female Vocalist of the YearMusical Event of the Year (for “You Had To Be There,” her radio-ruling collaboration with Kenny Chesney), and Music Video of the Year (for “Am I Okay?”). Broadcasting live on ABC, the CMA Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 19, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Fresh off her historic win at the MTV Video Music Awards (where she took home the moon person for the first-ever Best Country prize), Moroney caused a major frenzy in mid-September after popping up at Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour stop in Nashville. On September 11 at the Bridgestone Arena, the two superstars delivered a surprise duet of Moroney’s hit single “6 Months Later” (a current Top 25 and climbing Country radio hit that marked her biggest chart debut to date on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100). Moroney and McRae’s stripped-down but arena-shaking performance won big raves from Rolling Stone, who proclaimed that “This might be the country queen-pop princess link-up of the year,” along with earning buzz from the likes of The TennesseanBroBibleAmerican Songwriter, and Country Now

In another headline-grabbing surprise appearance, Kenny Chesney turned up at the AM I OKAY? TOUR’s Charleston date and joined Moroney for their live performance of “You Had To Be There” — a Billboard Hot 100-charting collaboration co-written by Moroney as an end-of-tour gift after supporting the Country legend on his stadium-filling SUN GOES DOWN 2024 TOUR. With Chesney’s unexpected backstage visit captured on Moroney’s TikTok, the duet added even more meaning to her September 12th tour stop at Credit One Stadium — a SOLD-OUT show that marked her first time as a stadium headliner.

With both her current singles, “You Had To Be There,” and “6 Months Later,” in the Top 25 at Country radio, Moroney is now gearing up for a two-night stand at legendary The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (October 2 and 3), featuring Texas-bred singer/songwriter Solon Holt as support. Before wrapping up the AM I OKAY? TOUR with a three-night stand at the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Dallas (October 10, 11, and 12), she’ll take the stage at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado tonight (September 30). The history-making headline run has also included two-night stands at famed venues like New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, Nashville’s The Pinnacle, Las Vegas’ The Theater at Virgin Hotels, Savannah’s Enmarket Arena, and more. Also, her July 26 stop at Wyoming’s Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo shattered the record for number of tickets sold for a female artist (with over 20,400 fans in attendance), she drew a record-breaking crowd at the Illinois State Fair (15,532 fans), and topped attendance records at the Iowa State Fair as the most attended Grandstand act this year (16,371 fans). Go here for a full list of Moroney’s upcoming tour dates.
