Munhall native Gabby Barrett made a special stop in Pennsylvania last week (9/6) to headline Timber Rock Amphitheater in Farmington. With a packed-out hometown crowd, the MULTI-PLATINUM star is currently on her LIFE I’M LIVING TOUR 2025.
“To come back now to Pa. with my family, singing these songs for people who believed in me first, that's something that's really special to me. And it feels like I'm coming home to celebrate with everybody, not just perform for them. And I think Pa. crowds just go harder. I do,” Barrett shared with Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (read the print feature here). “I just swear they are the loudest. And I think it's because it just feels more like family when people know your roots and your story. It's not just another show. You know, it's pride. You feel like the whole city is pulling for you.”
Spotlighting local talent, Barrett welcomed PennWest California Drumline (of Pennsylvania Western University) – under the direction of Dr. Frank Stetar – to open the high-energy show with a roaring performance that started inside the venue and traveled to the stage. Commanding all attention, the drumline introduced Barrett who went on to play a bevy of top-charting hits with her husband and guitarist Cade Foehner by her side, while her extended family filled the audience in front of them. Later in the set, Barrett brought out a second special guest as a Competitive Team from First Position Dance Academy did a choreographed routine behind her during “Cowboy Back” (off her sophomore album, Chapter & Verse, via Warner Music Nashville).
Recently releasing “The Easy Part” (written by Barrett, Zach Abend, Jon Nite, and Michael Hardy; produced by Zach Kale, Zach Abend, and Ross Copperman), Barrett promises more new music soon. With her 30-date headline run continuing through October 5 in Ocean City, MD, fans can find additional details and purchase tickets to the remaining shows here.
