LOCASH’s Galaxy Label Group continues to grow at lightspeed this year, scoring its very first No. 1 and resonating throughout Country music and culture. The label founded by the PLATINUM-selling duo, comprised of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, has only accelerated its expansion by breaking the news of a major promotion and a key hire today. LOCASH have upped Cheryl Broz to VP of Operations and welcomed Mitch Mills as the company’s National Director of Promotion. Beyond packing houses on tour, dominating radio with a MULTI-WEEK No. 1 hit, and racking up MILLIONS of streams, the pair have balanced their creativity with entrepreneurial acumen, making a series of significant business moves in 2025.
Brust and Lucas have worked hand-in-hand with Broz to facilitate a string of wins over the last year. They’ve now advanced her from head of National Field Promotion to VP of Operations. In this role, her responsibilities will also encompass digital initiatives and overall marketing strategy. She remains one of the industry’s most-respected and esteemed leaders, having built an impressive track record as an independent radio consultant for Crave Records, Columbia Records, Arista Records, EMI, Island-Def Jam, and Curb Records before joining the Galaxy Label Group team in 2024.
“Cheryl [Broz] continues to be an emerging industry leader with her keen vision of today's music marketplace,” Brust says. “Her decades of resume and relationships combined with her modern understanding of discovery make her a slam dunk for leadership on the Galaxy rocket ship!”
LOCASH’s Galaxy Label Group has excitedly appointed Mills to envision and enact its radio campaigns as National Director of Promotion and will report to VP of Promotion, Kerry Wolfe. Mills, renowned as a sought-after Promotion and Marketing executive, most recently spent 15 years at Atlantic Records/Elektra. During his tenure at the latter, he helmed successful releases for everyone from Kelly Clarkson to Bailey Zimmerman and Twenty One Pilots. Prior, he worked as Vice President of Adult Top 40 at Motown Records where he ignited campaigns for the likes of Nelly, Ingrid Michaelson, and more. Early in his career, he asserted himself as a cornerstone of Vanguard Records, leading all promotion efforts and landing hits for the likes of Matt Nathanson. At Galaxy Label Group, his purview will include all formats, spanning Hot AC, Pop, Country, and beyond.
“Mitch [Mills] came to us from a vast resume of major labels and will a head up the Galaxy Label Group New York office,” shares Lucas. “He has a natural ability for crossing music from format to format and knows the paths to finding new fans through innovative exposure strategies. Mitch's level of energy and positivity is infectious."
