OMG GIRLZ SPILL THE "TEA" WITH NEW SINGLE

The “Tea” is red-hot as powerhouse Atlanta female R&B trio OMG Girlz – Zonnique “Star” PullinsBahja “Beauty” Rodriguez, and Breaunna “Babydoll” Womack – serve their head-turning single via Pretty Hustle. Out now, listen to “Tea” here.

“‘Tea’ is a bold, feel-good anthem about flaunting what you’ve got and owning it, no matter your body type. It’s inclusive, empowering, and made to make you move,” shares OMG Girlz. “As the big sister to our track ‘Gucci This (Gucci That),’ it marks a pivotal moment for us, as we return to our roots, balancing a more grown-up sound with a nostalgic energy. We’re still all about self-love, confidence, and unapologetic fun. ‘Tea’ is about being bold, celebrating your body, and showing up exactly as you are – with no apologies.”

Under producers Tommy BrownDamare "Mob" Mobley, and Pacific-Joshua "Glitch" Zagabe, the track’s thick bassline thumps and wobbles while breathy vocals dip in and out of hypnotic claps. Once the beat kicks in, the ladies spit some game, “You can take a seat / And I’ll teach you a lesson.” Picking up the pace, they boost the bars with boasts à la “Know I’m hot across the States / From Atlanta to LA” and “I’m the baddest – The baddest in the room.” It all culminates on a chantable chorus punctuated by the trio’s charisma, attitude, and spirit. Meant to empower, “Tea” – written by RodriguezWomackPullinsSerrin Joy Scrutchings, and Alivia "Blue" Roberts – is a reminder to never stop celebrating who you are. As such, it also picks up a thread from their formative material, championing femininity and serving confidence always.

Welcoming a very special chapter for OMG Girlz, they first teased “Tea” in front of a packed house earlier this month at 2025 ESSENCE Festival of Culture® presented by Coca-Cola® in New Orleans. Lighting up the stage with a showstopping performance during Coca-Cola® presents the Summer of Uplift Block Party, OMG Girlz (from If Not For My Girls™: Season 7) also participated in a panel with Reginae Carter. Spotted in VIBE’s “Highlights” of the annual event, check out a recap post by OMG Girlz here.

Last summer, OMG Girlz canvased the country supporting 2024 The Queens of R&B Tour, co-headlined by Xscape and SWV. They amped up the energy in packed arenas and amphitheaters, setting the tone for the evening and shining in every major city. Not to mention, the group parlayed this momentum into a series of singles, including “Motion” and “Make A Scene.”

After initially taking flight in 2010 and reigniting their creative fire in 2023, the next era of OMG Girlz is well underway, and it’s bound to be their biggest, boldest, and best yet. Be on the lookout for more soon.

ABOUT OMG GIRLZ:

OMG Girlz relies on the undeniable union of Zonnique “Star” Pullins, Bahja “Beauty” Rodriguez, and Breaunna “Babydoll” Womack as not only artists, but as lifelong friends. Their shared sisterhood has powered a string of seminal hits, captivated generations of fans, and shined on some of the biggest stages in the world. As the story goes, OMG Girlz initially came to life under the watch of mentor and Pretty Hustle founder Tameka “Tiny” Harris. By 2010, the lineup solidified as they delivered anthems such as “Gucci This (Gucci That)” and “Where The Boys At?” The trio piled up tens of millions of streams and views as they hit the road with the likes of Mindless Behavior and Diggy on successive installments of the Scream Tour. Not to mention, they lit up the stage at the BET Awards and garnered a nod for “Outstanding New Artist” at the NAACP Image Awards. None other than Beyoncé even credited the group for inspiring her “Baddie Bey” social media handle, inciting a viral myth in the process. Following a hiatus, OMG Girlz supported Xscape on the massive reunion The Great Xscape Tour. Coming back, their bond only strengthened. They kicked off their next chapter with “Lover Boy” in 2023, paving the way for “Motion” the next year and a support slot on the massive 2024 The Queens of R&B Tour (co-headlined by Xscape and SWV). Their return was met with unanimous praise from the likes of VIBESHEEN MagazineBlavity, and The Source who summed up their spirit best, “OMG Girlz represent female empowerment to the fullest.” Now, they level up again in 2025 with endless ambition and uncontainable energy on a series of releases for Pretty Hustle, beginning with “Tea,” “Make A Scene,” and more to come.
