DIAMOND-selling superstar Brian Kelley is celebrating the first day of summer with the release of Sunshine State of Mind Season Two, Chapter One. Available across all streaming platforms and digital retailers today (6/20), listen here.
“The album cover might be me in the snow, but the ‘Sunshine State of Mind’ has never been about the weather – it’s about the way you choose to see the world,” Kelley shares. “This season of life taught me to find light in unexpected places and to carry that Florida warmth even in the middle of a storm.”
Fully co-written by the game-changing artist-songwriter, 14 fresh tracks are steeped in the tropical twang and serene tones of his signature “Coastal Country” sound, as Kelley returns to his creative element. Speaking to his Florida upbringing and beloved kick-back personality, the set marks the follow-up to 2021’s Sunshine State of Mind Season One, with most of the songs penned at that time.
Having dropped two more albums since (Tennessee Truth and Ed & Mary Margaret’s Son), the hitmaker’s passion and Country-born pride leads a set designed to make gravel roads and gray skies feel like the sun-kissed sugar sand of Grayton Beach. With producer Katlin Owen (plus Corey Crowder and Jake Rose on a select track), acoustic guitars and flip-flop beats match Kelley’s smooth baritone in a summer soundtrack reflection of who he truly is – and he’s not done yet.
Along with the full-length project, Kelley delivers a lyric video for “Spend Some Time There” – capturing the essence of a placid power ballad, all about wishing for escape from heartbreak. Sporting a different kind of getaway theme, the track (co-written by Kelley, Jake Rose, and Corey Crowder, and produced by Katlin Owen) nonetheless complements early releases like the sun-and-suds fan-favorite “Saltwater Ranch” – a sing-along made for beach bums with the right attitude born at the wrong latitude.

Meanwhile, Kelley is still cranking out career firsts, including his first-ever vinyl releases. Offering both Season One and Season Two, Chapter One, each record is colored to match the pristine waters of his “Sunshine State of Mind” – wherever you’re listening from. An autographed vinyl bundle is available for purchase here.
Tonight (6/20), Kelley raises a can to Season Two, Chapter One with his ongoing SURF POST SESSIONS. The backyard show at Tribe Kelley Surf Post in Grayton Beach will serve as the official album release party, and Kelley’s live concert series continues through the weekend, with another batch scheduled for the week of the Fourth of July. Find full details, including VIP packages, here.
More dates have also been added to the upcoming SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND TOUR, as Kelley moves up the start of his anticipated headlining trek. Now heading to Cincinnati, OH, on June 27, and Louisville, KY, on June 29, Kelley’s run rolls through September 7 in Raleigh, NC. With support on select dates by collaborators Tyler Pigg and Huntt Garrett, alongside Kelley’s album producer Katlin Owen, tickets for the SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND TOUR are on sale now at https://www.officialbriankelley.com.
