Between mounting critical acclaim, millions of streams, and the never-ending adoration of fans around the globe, they have quietly emerged as Country’s most in-demand force of nature. After the performance, Kelly Ripa of Live with Kelly & Mark presented Brust and Lucas with a very special Billboard plaque to celebrate their two-week run at #1 with “Hometown Home” (watch here). Then, later visited Billboard’s New York City headquarters where they captured a series of videos, welcoming audiences to spend a day-in-the-life with LOCASH.
Indicative of their enduring impact, LOCASH’s latest single “Wrong Hearts” is among the most added songs at Country radio this week. Launching with 71 stations spinning the record nationwide, this marks the biggest add-date of their career and another major win for Galaxy Label Group further proving the duo’s business acumen.
“Wrong Hearts” might just be LOCASH’s most poignant and personal single yet. These two dedicated family men take stock of their decisions, the lessons they’ve learned, and how a few of the “wrong hearts” they encountered along the way brought them right where they were meant to be all along as husbands and fathers. It’s an identifiable message trumpeted in irresistible fashion through this song. The refrain resounds, “The swings, the misses, all the bad decisions that got me where they got me, guess they had to happen, that highway to hell, led straight to your arms.” It concludes with a chant, “Thankin’ God for all the wrong turns and all the wrong hearts.” Produced by Jacob Rice, Brust and Lucas notably co-wrote the song with Matt Dragstrem and Josh Thompson.
LOCASH have dominated the conversation in 2025. “Hometown Home” vaulted to #1 at Country radio, adding to a growing list of career #1s — check out the story on Billboard. Plus, it registered the first #1 from the debut release on their label, Galaxy Label Group. With an impressive list of national TV performances and appearances this year, they also recently drew a standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry with a powerhouse four-song set as part of the Opry 100 celebration featuring a wildly energetic rendition of their PLATINUM-certified “I Love This Life” with surprise guests Savannah Bananas.
