COUNTRY THUNDER SERVES UP NEXT EPISODE OF "ON THE BUS WITH TROY VOLLHOFFER" FEATURING JUSTIN MOORE TODAY

Country Thunder — the largest Country music festival brand in North America — serves up the next episode of its fan-favorite podcast, “On the Bus with Troy Vollhoffer,” today (5/15). Episode seven sees award-winning MULTI-PLATINUM artist Justin Moore take the hot seat as season two’s latest special guest.

Host Troy Vollhoffer inspires the perennial hitmaker to open up more than ever before. The conversation follows Moore’s journey from growing up in a 300-person Arkansas town to dropping out of college, moving to Nashville, and reaching for superstardom with his 2009 smash “Small Town USA.” 18 years on the road and 13 #1 hits later, he still pours the same care, attention, and emotion into each and every song — which can be heard on his 2024 album, This Is My Dirt. Throughout the interview, he gets personal, discussing his high school experience, sharing memories of his grandparents, clearing up the Luke Bryan situation, and reveling in the opportunity to spend time with his own children on tour.

“Most of my band and crew have been with me for so long [that] they were at the hospital when my kids were born, and so they got a whole lot of uncles and one aunt out here, so that’s fantastic,” Moore smiles. “They come out when they’re out of school and they don’t have stuff going on, which I love.”

As much as he digs performing in arenas and at festivals, he will never stop playing county fairs for one simple reason.

“Some of those are so much fun because for me growing up, if you had somebody [who] comes in with, let’s say two hits, they’re just popping on the radio or on the scene [with] maybe three hits, you think you’re watching Elvis Presley,” he laughs.
