“I am still blown away that we get to do this thing that we always dreamed of doing,” reflects Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies.  “And this many years in, we get to play songs and people know them. It’s wild!"

The Billboard Hot 100 #1, “One Week,” remains a staple in their catalog and the pop culture canon at large, and the two-time GRAMMY Award-nominated band did it justice with a highly energetic and engaging performance. Hinging on an instantly recognizable beat and bouncy guitar, its slippery verses swing with the same swagger. However, the studio could barely contain the excitement once the infinitely catchy chorus hit. The hosts nodded along throughout, and the guys were all smiles.

Ultimately, this particular appearance found the musicians firing all cylinders, affirming the track’s classic status and relevancy.

The performance only heightens excitement for the impending arrival of their forthcoming EP In Flight – Carry On, which drops next week on Friday May 16.

The digital-only EP features all-acoustic, newly reimagined renditions of seven standout tracks from the band’s acclaimed 2023 album In Flight. They cleared the way for its landing by unveiling “Fifty for a While (Acoustic)” and “Clearly Lost (Acoustic).” Go here to listen to “Clearly Lost (Acoustic)” and check out their social post here.
