COUNTRY THUNDER ROLLS OUT NEXT EPISODE OF "ON THE BUS WITH TROY VOLLHOFFER" FEATURING JORDAN DAVIS TODAY

Country Thunder — the largest Country music festival brand in North America — rolls out the next episode of its fan-favorite podcast, “On the Bus with Troy Vollhoffer,” today (5/1). Continuing a banner second season, episode six features award-winning MULTI-PLATINUM artist Jordan Davis as the special guest. Watch and listen to new episodes on all podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and Amazon Music.

Davis speaks to host Troy Vollhoffer at length. A 3x Song of the Year winner (ACM,CMA,NSAI)  Davis has been recognized for crystallizing real life moments in a way that leaves “one breathless.”  With 8 #1s at Country radio, including global award winning hits “Buy Dirt,” “Next Thing You Know” and “What My World Spins Around,” as well as current single "Bar None," the Louisiana-born hitmaker recently announced his next album, Learn The Hard Way, which is available for pre-order now before its August 15th release. Davis chats about his uncle’s career as a songwriter, as well as his musical collaborations with his brother Jacob Davis, his “closest co-writer.” Opening up about his approach, he discusses the importance of real-life conversations to the process.

“I feel like people talk in song lyrics, and I think the fun in songwriting is being in the moment and when somebody says something, I’m verbal with it,” reveals Davis. “I’m like, ‘Oh man, that’d be a killer idea for a song’, and I literally write it down in my phone right then. So, that really is a lot of where my song ideas come from.”

However, he focuses just as much on the live show, treating each gig like the big game. He affirms, “You’re trying to win fans every night, and every one’s a Super Bowl, and you don’t ever want to lose a Super Bowl.”
