BETTER THAN EZRA ANNOUNCE LIVE A LITTLE TOUR

This spring, Alt-Rock icons Better Than Ezra are returning to the road for the LIVE A LITTLE TOUR — a 15-date headlining run beginning on May 3 and continuing through May 25. Opening with two dates in their hometown of New Orleans, the LIVE A LITTLE TOUR kicks off on the release day for their highly anticipated new album Super Magick — the band’s first full-length in ten years, due out via Round Hill Records. All tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, March 15, at 10 a.m. local time; see below for the full list of tour dates and venues.

With stops in Nashville, Detroit, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, and more, the LIVE A LITTLE TOUR is the latest outing from a crowd-thrilling band with over three decades of touring under their belt. Known for a massively fun but emotionally charged live show, BTE routinely sell out amphitheaters and arenas worldwide and endlessly inspire plenty of singing-along from the audience. In the last year alone, the band embarked on a summer tour with Train (including a headlining date at the famed El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles) and then headlined the hard-charging RETURN OF LEGENDS OF THE FALL 2023 TOUR, in addition to performing at the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin, TN.

The LIVE A LITTLE TOUR shares its name with the most recent single from Super Magick, a supercharged anthem that’s already emerged as a fan favorite at the BTE live show. Released last Friday (3/8), “Live A Little” makes for a perfect introduction to the full-hearted songwriting and infectious sound of Super Magick, which marks BTE’s tenth studio album. Go here to listen to “Live A Little,” and pre-order/pre-save Super Magick here.

Mainly produced by BTE singer/guitarist Kevin Griffin and Emery Dobyns (a producer/songwriter/engineer known for his work with Patti Smith, Lou Reed, and Antony and the Johnsons), Super Magick also features the previously released singles “Mystified” (an undeniably catchy piece of true-to-life storytelling that premiered last summer alongside its vintage-styled video) and “Contact High” (a charmingly tongue-in-cheek track recalling some of the Rolling Stones’ most fun-loving Country-flavored tunes). Stay tuned for more new music from BTE soon.

Since forming in 1988 at Louisiana State University, Better Than Ezra have been on a rocket ride through the Rock world, definitively making their presence felt at every turn. The band exists in rare air among their peers, having occupied spots on Billboard’s 100 Greatest Alternative Songs of All Time” and “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time.” Better Than Ezra was a prominent fixture on radio and MTV in the Nineties and early 2000’s, thanks in large part to the monumental success of their cherished 1993 independent album DELUXE, which included standout fan-favorite “Good” —a MULTI-PLATINUM selling #1 hit on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks Chart.

ABOUT BETTER THAN EZRA:
Songs, albums, live performances — some are simply timeless. From their early roots, circa 1988, playing house parties at Louisiana State University, Better Than Ezra have made their mark on the music world in a major way. Yes, the New Orleans quartet, founded by Kevin Griffin [lead vocals, guitar, piano] and Tom Drummond [bass, backing vocals], who unleash hummable melodies, unshakable guitar riffs, and confessional lyrics, have stood the test of time — from 1995’s #1 hit “Good” all the way to Taylor Swift’s famous 2010 cover of the Better Than Ezra classic “Breathless.” And they’re still going strong: after headlining monumental live shows all throughout 2023, the band is now gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated tenth studio album Super Magick, due out May 3 via Round Hill Records. Named one of the “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time” by Billboard, with a legacy that includes inspiring a classic Saturday Night Live skit, Better Than Ezra recently shared the first batch of singles from Super Magick: “Mystified,” “Contact High,” and “Live A Little.”
