RANDY ROGERS & WADE BOWEN RETURN FOR ANOTHER ROUND WITH HOLD MY BEER, VOL. 3

Country music favorites Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen return for another round of their wildly-acclaimed collab series today (7/7), popping the top on Hold My Beer, Vol. 3

Concocting six more original tunes full of fiddle, steel and friendship, Rogers and Bowen produced and co-penned each song on the new project, capturing the freewheeling energy of their live shows with a rabble-rousing EP perfectly suited for good times.

Packed with tributes to life on the road, things that never get old – and of course, drinking with friends – the pair worked alongside co-writers Rhett AkinsBrad ClawsonDrew KennedyTaylor PhillipsAaron Raitiere and Allen Shamblin, ending up with a new batch of lighthearted standouts.

As a case in point, the longtime buddies (and Texas heroes) kick the project off with a bang, sharing the Kennedy co-write “Shooting Hand” as their new focus track. A cautionary tale of looking for trouble (and finding it every time), the swinging neon anthem leads another set of pure Country fun that’s sure to delight fans, just like it delights the artists themselves.

Bowen shares, "These albums are a party, a friendship, a brotherhood and an opportunity to do something different.  I love writing these songs and I hope you feel how much fun we have together. That has always been the strength of Hold My Beer…and I think these are some of the best songs we’ve ever done!"

Rogers adds, “We hope you enjoy this new installment of Hold My Beer as much as we had making it. See you on the road.”

The culmination of over two decades of friendship, the initial Hold My Beer collaboration was an unplanned happenstance that has since blossomed into a thriving outlet of artistic expression, one that “offers up a lightheartedness — a departure from their more heartache-ridden solo work — and the fine art of breaking open a cold one with buddies,” American Songwriter declares.

Hold My Beer, Vol. 1 was released in 2015 and quickly rose into the Top 5 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart, leading to an applauded tour and what soon became a tradition for the pair. Hold My Beer, Vol. 2 followed in 2020, and the franchise remains a personal highlight for Rogers and Bowen alike, both in the studio and on the road. The friends previously released “We Ain't The Only Ones” off Vol. 3, a sauntering tribute to touring musicians that calls out fellow Texas favorites from Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert to Robert Earle Keen and Cody Johnson.

Looking ahead, they will team up for more good times on another leg of their HOLD MY BEER TOUR, kicking off July 19 in College Station, Texas, and winding its way across the state all summer. The party-starting trek will also include stops in LubbockDallas, and Corpus Christi, plus two shows at the famed Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth, before concluding in Helotes on August 19.

ABOUT WADE BOWEN:
Twenty years and more than 4,000 shows into his career, Wade Bowen has become synonymous with country music, songwriting, and captivating live performances -- and for good reason. An artistic descendant of American icons like Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Robert Earl Keen and more, Bowen is an important voice in a legacy of Texas troubadours stretching back more than 50 years. Regarded as one of the genre’s finest and most authentic modern voices, Bowen’s approach is rooted in tradition, but also stands on the creative cutting edge. His focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality, and shifting his sonic territory to match his life. Wielding a knack for direct, poetic songwriting that never panders, Bowen matches his gravel-road growl to an organic sound spanning the whole of Texas, tapping both country and rock influences. A dozen albums have shown his musical diversity – including six studio sets, two live collections, a gospel album and an ongoing series of buddy-country hits with fellow Texan, Randy Rogers.  A road warrior, Bowen continues to perform more than 200 dates a year across the U.S. including regular visits to WSM’S famed Grand Ole Opry. A philanthropist at heart, Bowen founded the Bowen Family Foundation which has helped children and families in and around central Texas by raising more than $6 million for beneficiaries including March of Dimes Waco, CASA of McLennan and Hill Counties, City of West Disaster Relief, Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco, Inspiración, The Mentoring Alliance and more.
