MEGAN MORONEY SHINES AT SOLD OUT NASHVILLE STOP ON HEADLINE PISTOL MADE OF ROSES TOUR

Marking her first headline show in Nashville, TN, with a roaring SOLD OUT crowd, Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records’ rising star Megan Moroney brought her PISTOL MADE OF ROSES TOUR to the legendary Exit/In last Wednesday (4/19).

Kicking off the set with fan-favorite, "Til It All Goes South," the pretty-in-pink powerhouse commanded the stage as she previewed new songs off her forthcoming Kristian Bush-produced debut album, LUCKY (out May 5), added her own spin to covers like Miranda Lambert’s “Gunpowder and Lead,” and led fans in a booming sing-along to her Top 15-and-climbing smash “Tennessee Orange.”

One of the highlights came in the middle of the set when Moroney played three songs acoustic with just her guitar – “Why Johnny,” “Fix You Too,” and “Girl In The Mirror” – showcasing what's been praised by Billboard as "a little rasp to her voice and a heart-on-her-sleeve style."

The "musical risktaker with powerhouse pipes" (CMT) closed out the night by returning to the stage for a high-energy encore with "Lucky."

Her breakout year continues as she will vie for NEW FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. Fans can tune in on May 11 at 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT/5 p.m. PDT as it streams live exclusively on Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, TX. This nomination comes hot on the heels of her first career win for BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR for her Jason Lester-directed “Tennessee Orange” clip (view here) at the 2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS.

Following her SOLD OUT PISTOL MADE OF ROSES TOUR, Moroney's follow-up trek, THE LUCKY TOUR, will launch in the fall. With many of the venues selling out within minutes, the 22-city tour kicks off with her New York City debut at The Bowery Ballroom on September 20, before taking her to major cities and iconic venues coast-to-coast including first-time stops as an in-demand headliner in Chicago (Joe's on Weed St.), Los Angeles (Troubadour), New Braunfels, TX (Gruene Hall), and more, through November. In addition, she’s slated to support Country music icons Brooks & Dunn this summer. For full tour dates and ticketing information, visit meganmoroney.com.

ABOUT MEGAN MORONEY:
Born and raised in Georgia, Megan Moroney grew up in a musical household heavily influenced by legendary songwriters in Classic Country, Southern Rock, and Americana. During her freshman year at the University of Georgia, an opportunity to open for an established Country artist at the iconic Georgia Theatre prompted Moroney to write her very first original song. From there, she developed a love for storytelling and has become known for her distinctive voice and honest, conversational lyrics. 2022 brought the singer a breakout year with the release of her debut EP, Pistol Made of Roses, followed by her single “Tennessee Orange,” which put her on the map as Nashville’s most compelling new artist. The colossal buzz surrounding the track prompted her to perform it on ESPN’s College GameDay, while racking up over 189 MILLION global streams, with 255 MILLION total artist global streams to date. The viral hit was awarded this year for BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR (“Tennessee Orange”), notching Moroney’s first CMT Music Award. The Top 15-and-climbing single is on her forthcoming debut album LUCKY, out May 5. After opening stints on tours with Larry Fleet, Chase Matthews, Jamey Johnson, and Warren Zeiders last year, she is kicking off her first headline run with the SOLD-OUT PISTOL MADE OF ROSES TOUR this spring and continuing with THE LUCKY TOUR in the fall. In between, fans can catch her out with Brooks & Dunn this summer. Dubbed a “2023 Artist to Watch” by Amazon Music, Pandora, and Spotify, an iHeart "On The Verge" Artist, as well as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country for 2023, the “musical risk taker with powerhouse pipes” (CMT) is slated to become a household name in the years to come.
