WHY&HOW BRINGS TOGETHER MUSIC AND BUSINESS AT COMPANY RETREAT

Artist management and entertainment powerhouse WHY&HOW came together in Music City last week for a company retreat, hosting multiple days of all-staff meetings and 2023 client planning at Virgin Hotels Nashville from January 25-27.

Along with a power conference, the WHY&HOW 2023 All Staff Summit also hosted an intimate artist showcase for company partners featuring performances from up-and-coming artists Angel White and Matt Koziol and previewing new music from A Thousand Horses, Seaforth, Drake White, and Danielle Bradbery.

The event reinforced WHY&HOW's core value of family, which is found in everything the company does, even down to its name. Named after WHY&HOW CEO and Founder Bruce Kalmick's two children, Wyatt and Hazel, the company’s mission is to challenge and change certain ideologies that have existed within the music business. Instead of business first, WHY&HOW is focused on the growth and success of its artists and their music, their staff and their ventures while keeping family at the forefront.

"WHY&HOW was built to be different," Kalmick shares. "We challenge the antiquated principles that seem to prevent progress. We have to continue to evolve with the culture, technology, and general spirit of the music business. When we come together as a team and dive deeper into these principles, it’s clear that we are making strides towards exponential growth. WHY&HOW is a family and we will continue to break out and support the industry in new and more culturally sophisticated ways."

WHY&HOW is ready to further its mission in 2023, with several artists preparing for upcoming releases. Chase Rice’s album I Hate Cowboys and All Dogs Go to Hell arrives on February 10, Danielle Bradbery’s “A Special Place” is impacting Country radio on February 13, Tyler Braden’s EP Neon Grave will release on March 3 and The Weathered Souls, Seaforth, Halle Kearns, Read Southall Band and KALEO all have new music coming this year.
