Rising Country duo Honey County, comprised of Dani Rose and Sofie Lynn, premiered their brand-new music video for “Got It From My Mama” today (4/29) exclusively with Country Living. Dripping in nostalgia, the video was helmed by award-winning executive producer TK McKamy (Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Wiz Khalifa, RaeLynn + more) and director Grayson Welch and is the perfect ode to any mother, sister, best friend, or strong female.

"We wrote this song because we wanted something special and unique for our moms for Mother's Day. Every single detail in the song is specific to us, from matching tattoos to being able to hold liquor like our sisters," Honey County told Country Living. Rose added, "Just like the song, the video was all about the details." 

Honey County performed "Got It From My Mama" at former NFL Chief Information Officer Michelle McKenna’s wedding for the mother-daughter dance, and the track has already gained traction on a variety of platforms. With over 350k streams on Spotify and Apple, 2.5 MILLON + views on Honey County’s TikTok/Instagram videos featuring “Got It From My Mama,” 2,500+ fan generated TikTok/Instagram videos featuring the song and over 350k views on the song’s lyric video on YouTube, the hard-working duo has built their fan base organically from homegrown roots. 

Honey County dreamed up the song's music video with meticulous details and rich sentiment. For example, the CD tree at the end of the video features photos of their moms as well as those that made their music video possible. In addition, their costume designer, Maranda Nichols Persico, made sure to incorporate Rose and Lynn's personal style into each of their looks as well as vintage jewelry pieces passed down from Lynn's grandmother and Rose's mother's initial on one of the necklaces she's wearing.

The duo is also one of the first Country acts to partner with TikTok's distribution service, SoundOn, and will release a new clip of 'Got It From My Mama' for TikTok users to create with the week before Mother's Day.
