Big Loud Records’ MULTI-PLATINUM star Chris Lane captures the anticipation – and anxiousness – of becoming a dad in the tender ballad “Ain’t Even Met You Yet,” out everywhere today. With a reflective, middle-of-the-night vocal and acoustic-guitar foundation, the new father looks forward with a heartwarming message to his son, Dutton Walker Lane, letting him know just how much he is loved.
Penned by Lane (with Michael Lotten and Jordan Walker) ahead of Dutton’s June 8 arrival, the autobiographical track was first heard in the sentimental music video recapping his and wife Lauren’s journey to parenthood. The two opened up to PEOPLE about embracing teamwork and humor in their first few weeks as Mom and Dad, plus shared exclusive family photos. For more, check out their interview here and the 6/25 print issue, on stands nationwide now.
As Lane prepares to hit the road, tickets are on sale today for his headline FILL THEM BOOTS TOUR. The coast-to-coast run kicks off on October 28 and runs through March 2022, with support from Tyler Rich, ERNEST and Lily Rose. For tickets, visit Ticketmaster.com. Live Nation is the official promoter of the tour. For a full list of Lane’s upcoming tour dates, click here.
“Fill Them Boots” is Lane’s latest single climbing the Country radio charts, and kicked off a wave of new music from the hitmaker including the nostalgic feel-good jam “Summer Job Money,” tenderhearted tribute “That’s What Mamas Are For” and “Tequila On A Boat” – his sun-drunk collaboration with Dustin Lynch, already named one of this summer’s best songs by Country Now and Sounds Like Nashville.
