LILY ROSE RELEASES REFLECTIVE NEW SONG, "REMIND ME OF YOU" AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE TODAY

Lily Rose, “the promising new talent” (Billboard) signed to Big Loud Records / Back Blocks Music and Republic Records releases “Remind Me of You,” available everywhere today. Co-written by Sam Hunt, Corey Crowder, Ryan Vojtesak and Ernest Keith Smith, “Remind Me of You” is a wistful song about coming to terms with the ending of a new relationship that ‘never had a shot.’ In tandem with the song’s release, a groundbreaking lyric video is available everywhere today, showcasing custom choreography and interpretive dance performed by some of Nashville’s top dancers.

“This is actually my first song that I’ve ever released that I didn’t write,” shares Rose. “The second I heard the demo, I knew it was the perfect combination of swag and country - not to mention that it’s written by some lyrical geniuses, who I admire a ton. When someone asks, ‘what song are you most excited to play live?’ it’s at the top of my list, that’s for sure!”

In “Remind Me of You,” Rose finds herself comparing her new love interest to her ex, singing, “I should be so into her by now / but all I can think about is how / she don’t remind me of you / you’d think that was a good thing / it’s sad but it’s true / should be cool, but it just ain’t.” Rose winds the listener through the heartsick storyline as she comes to terms with why she can’t fall in love with someone new, realizing, “Girl you were all that I wanted / and that’s why falling in love with her is so hard to do / she don’t remind me of you.

“Remind Me of You” is co-produced by Matt Morrisey and Joey Moi, and marks the third label release from the singer who has notched 46M global artist streams and “no doubt shines different than perhaps any other country artist out there today” (American Songwriter). Rose has experienced groundbreaking success with her debut single, “Villain,” topping the all-genre iTunes chart for five days and appearing in more than 40k TikTok videos. Released just last month, the autobiographical follow-up “Overnight Sensation” was tapped as a Rolling Stone ‘Pick of the Week.’

ABOUT LILY ROSE:
Touting an identifiable sound described as contemporary, vulnerable and raw, Lily Rose is breaking new ground in the Nashville music scene with her new single, "Villain."

On Dec. 1, 2020, Rose posted a clip of "Villain," a song about a break-up she believed ended cordially, only to find out she'd been painted as the 'bad guy' through social media. The song connected significantly with fans, and two weeks later Rose independently released "Villain" on Dec. 15. The single immediately rocketed to the top of the iTunes all-genre chart, where it held steady at No.1 above Taylor Swift's latest releases for several days and remained in the iTunes Top 30 for five consecutive weeks. One week after the release of "Villain," SiriusXM The Highway added the explosive track to full rotation.

Rose's reactive single "Villain" caught the attention of Big Loud Records / Back Blocks Music and Republic Records who signed her to a joint-venture record deal in Jan. 2021. Rose grew up in Atlanta as a self-taught drummer and guitarist but it wasn't until high school that she discovered her voice. As an athlete and distinguished singer, Rose had to decide which avenue to pursue. Bar sets and cover shows in her college town of Athens, GA led to headlining and sold out shows across Athens, Atlanta, Nashville and NYC, prompting her to make the move to Nashville in 2017. Her musical influences range from Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Bruce Springsteen to Katy Perry reflecting her innate ability to adopt a "futuristic" 21st century country sound. She currently resides in Nashville where she continues to write and record new music with a focus on melody and hook driven songwriting style, which has proven to resonate among country, pop and rock alike.
