MULTI-PLATINUM hitmaker Jerrod Niemann taps into his vulnerable side and dives headfirst into heartbreak with the latest offerings from his upcoming LOST & FOUND project – “The Blame” and “It Won’t Be Me” – both available across all streaming platforms and digital retailers today (10/2).

Written and produced solely by Niemann, “The Blame” spotlights the story behind the “lost” chapter in his LOST & FOUND endeavor, as it finds the Country chart-topper with his guard down, accepting the things he cannot change and reflecting on a past love gone wrong.

“‘The Blame’ is a personal song that I wrote when I was at my lowest point during my divorce,” Niemann explains. “Looking back on it now, those are not my true feelings about my ex. Over time, you come to realize that it’s so easy to place blame on someone else, when you should be pointing your finger at the man in the mirror – that’s when you truly start to grow and become a better person. This song came from a fleeting moment of vulnerability while I was trying to make sense of everything. Divorce is never easy… but at the end of the day, she’s happy, I’m happy, and we wish each other the best.”

Taking a different approach to losing love, “It Won’t Be Me” paints a picture of resilience and highlights the refusal to let go of a waning flame. Produced and written by Niemann alongside Lee Brice and Jon Stone with additional producer Cody LaBelle, the tune tells the story of a man who says “no” to calling it quits on his own romance.
Created mostly in Niemann’s home studio (also known as the "Red Room”), these emotional new tracks continue to add to the LOST & FOUND narrative, as they draw inspiration from his recent life changes and reflect exactly what the project’s name suggests – Niemann truly getting back to his center and finding himself through the ups and downs of life.

“The Blame” and “It Won’t Be Me” follow the project’s debut releases, “Ghost Rider” and the “captivating” (Billboard) a cappella track “Tequila Kisses” – a tune that continues to garner praise across the board, with MusicRow raving, “The Beach Boys have nothing on this little beauty,” while Rolling Stone hails, “You don’t miss the instruments. Rather, it just makes you curious about what the ‘Lover, Lover’ singer is going to pull out of his hat next.”

Up next, Niemann plans to share more from his LOST & FOUND project over the coming months.

After nearly a decade as a major label artist, prolific hitmaker Jerrod Niemann is embarking on a journey of his own with his upcoming LOST & FOUND project. For the first time in two years, Niemann is releasing brand-new music – lead by “Tequila Kisses” and “Ghost Rider," along with latest tracks “The Blame” and “It Won’t Be Me.” LOST & FOUND follows his patriotic anthem, “Old Glory” (2018), and full length album, THIS RIDE (2017), featuring the feel-good track “I Got This,” uplifting duet “A Little More Love” (with Lee Brice), and the classy romance of “God Made a Woman.” Throughout his career, Niemann has racked up multiple accolades, from his PLATINUM #1 smash “Lover, Lover” and GOLD-certified Top 5 “What Do You Want” off his critically acclaimed major label debut, JUDGE JERROD & THE HUNG JURY, to his PLATINUM anthem “Drink to That All Night” – a multi-week #1 from the 2014 album HIGH NOON. With ACM, CMA, and CMT Award nominations under his belt and headlining and touring stints with some of Country’s hottest acts – Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban – Niemann continues to make his mark by creatively pushing boundaries, while still offering a sincere nod to the legends before him.
