NASHVILLE HITMAKER JORDAN SCHMIDT RE-UPS WITH TREE VIBEZ MUSIC

As one of Nashville’s coveted new tunesmiths in Country music, hitmaker JORDAN SCHMIDT has signed a new deal with supercharged music publishing company TREE VIBEZ MUSIC. The Florida Georgia Line-founded trailblazer houses an in-demand roster that includes Corey Crowder, James McNair, RaeLynn, Blake Redferrin, Daniel Ross, Canaan Smith, Ernest K. Smith, and Jared Mullins. Moving forward, Schmidt's catalog will be administered by Sony/ATV.

“I’m very excited to keep working with BK, Tyler, and Tree Vibez,” says Schmidt. “We’ve been able to accomplish a whole lot together over the past four years, and I can’t wait to see what we do ahead. I started my writing career with Tree Vibez and I couldn’t imagine a better home for me!”

Since joining the innovative team as their flagship songwriter in 2015, Schmidt has secured FIVE career #1s with “God’s Country” (BLAKE SHELTON), “Drunk Me” (MITCHELL TENPENNY), “You Make It Easy” (JASON ALDEAN), 4X PLATINUM “What Ifs” (KANE BROWN FT. LAUREN ALAINA), and “Lights Come On” (JASON ALDEAN). In addition to the chart-toppers, several other songs of his are climbing charts like “Like a Rodeo” (KANE BROWN) – debuted at #1 on iTunes All-Genre Chart – and “Rednecker” (HARDY), with 82 cuts in total including 10 songs by FGL.

“It’s already been an unbelievable journey with Jordan and we feel like we’re just getting started,” shares FGL’s Brian Kelley. “He’s been the flagship TVM writer and continues to create and produce on a level that is unmatched.”

FGL’s Tyler Hubbard agrees, “We couldn’t be more excited and proud to continue this relationship and build on the strong foundation that’s already there. We admire how Jordan continues to step up his game and inspire not only the people around him, but the industry as a whole. We don’t call him J VIBE for nothing.”

The Duluth, Minnesota-native picked up a guitar at 10 years old and jumpstarted a recording career at 16. Working his way up from tracking local artists, to serving as an assistant to PLATINUM-certified producer Matt Squire (The Used, Panic! At the Disco, One Direction, Kesha), he established himself as a respected producer by teaming up with popular acts such as All Time Low, Metro Station, Motion City Soundtrack, and Quietdrive, before relocating to Nashville in 2012.

“Jordan has proven himself to be a songwriting force in our industry. Besides his most recent success, Jordan’s work exhibits an original voice in Country music songwriting and producing today,” says TVM General Manager Leslie T. DiPiero. “Listen to his music if you want to know where Country music is headed.”

TVM is fast-becoming the “it” firm, with NINE #1 songs, 26 singles, and 140 releases currently under their name. For more information about Tree Vibez Music, please visit www.treevibezmusic.com
