Breakout Big Loud Records star MORGAN WALLEN is feeling the #1 buzz this week with his intoxicating hit “Whiskey Glasses” shooting straight to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Appearing on Wallen’s Top 10 album debut, IF I KNOW ME, the smooth burning anthem marks his first Hot Country Songs #1 – following the PLATINUM-certified success of hooky single “Up Down” (featuring Florida Georgia Line) that hit #5 on the Hot Country Songs chart and led the Country Airplay chart in the same week, becoming his first Country radio #1. Beyond demonstrating his rising profile with Country fans, the news is even more meaningful since the Tennessee native celebrated his 26th birthday the same day.

“My first #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart happened on my 26th birthday [May 13]. This is truly a day I’ll never forget,” Wallen shared with Billboard.

Meanwhile, “Whiskey Glasses” is currently inside the Top 5 at Country radio and still climbing. Written by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish, the undeniable single comes in as the #2 current Country song in overall consumption this week, and has also garnered more than 173 million digital streams globally, helping push Wallen’s career total over the 829 million streams mark and drive his exhilarating concerts.

A blood-pumping live video for the track is out now – showing off Wallen’s rowdy, crowd-pleasing energy at the sold-out Nashville stop of his headlining IF I KNOW ME TOUR – while the official videofor “Whiskey Glasses” has earned Wallen his first-ever award show nomination at the fan-voted CMT Music Awards on June 5, up for Breakthrough Video of the Year. Wallen has also been nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year by MusicRow Magazine and just released a full, studio version of his critically-acclaimed cover of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up,” with major media outlets around the country getting on board.
