GABBY BARRETT RETURNS TO ABC'S AMERICAN IDOL WITH FIERY PERFORMANCE OF NEW SONG "I HOPE"

NASHVILLE, TENN. (May 7, 2019) — Rising star GABBY BARRETT returned to ABC's American Idol Sunday night (5/5) with a fiery performance of red-hot new song "I Hope.” She pulled out all the stops for her first appearance on Idol since her third place finish on its first season on ABC. With her powerhouse vocals on full display, Barrett threw it back to her roots with a gospel-style choir, while emphasizing the "full of venom and vitriol" (Rolling Stone Country) track with silver pyro and a striking beaded Jovani jumpsuit. Reaching new heights, “I Hope” rocketed to #3 on the iTunes Top Country Songs chart.

Right after heating up the stage, Barrett chatted with host Ryan Seacrest during the live broadcast about all of the big things happening for her in the past year, hinting at her new label home, Warner Music Nashville. More congratulations were in order with her recent engagement to fellow contestant Cade Foehner, at which point Katy Perry jumped up to give her congrats on the happy news.

Barrett is currently in the studio working on her highly-anticipated upcoming project with GRAMMY-nominated producer and songwriter Ross Copperman while also hitting the road for tour dates through the end of 2019.

KEEP UP WITH GABBY BARRETT
