Bold new Big Loud Records artist Jillian Jacqueline has today (5/19) released her raw – yet tender – new track and video, “Hate Me.”

Fearlessly laying her heart on the table, the song is now available across all digital and streaming platforms and its gritty music video is premiering on CMT and VEVO. Co-written by Jacqueline with  Tofer Brown and Hillary Lindsey, “Hate Me” cuts straight to the core of a broken relationship, pleading for a reason to give it up once and for all.

"'Hate Me' is such a moment of emotional exposure for me,” reveals Jacqueline. "It was very stream-of-consciousness to write, and conveys a coping-mechanism perspective that compels me to take all of the blame for the pain that is about to be caused by a breakup. Hatred and anger make people easier to walk away from, so the phrase 'hate me'  is actually a way of saving yourself from having to bear the sadness from breaking someone’s heart."

“Hate Me” is the second look at this new talent on the rise and her striking debut project produced by Tofer Brown is filled with unmatched honesty and challenging themes that country fans have never heard before. Her previous release, the razor-sharp kiss off “Reasons,” has already rocketed into Spotify’s Viral 50 USA list while accumulating 2.32 million streams and counting on this streaming platform alone. Positioned on several prominent playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday, the song is also currently featured on Sirius XM’s "On The Horizon" program.

Critics are also lining up to get behind Jacqueline and her fiery vision of country artistry, with Billboard Magazine gushing, “As she consistently raises her own bar higher, with a dedication to only releasing songs of top-tier quality, her ability to balance her blatant honesty with unshakeable optimism – as well as her knack for tackling themes we all can relate to with an utter coolness – is helping separate her from the pack of the next class of country mainstays.”

After wrapping a string of tour dates supporting country hitmaker Billy Currington, she’ll bring her daring and fresh style to Los Angeles for a concert at the intimate Sayers Club on June 1.
